Youth Environment Summit

Come let your voice be heard!

We will be joining a video production crew from Access Tucson and filming short Eco-Ads

What's an Eco-Ad?

A 30-60 second video clip about an environmental problem that explains the issue and suggests some solutions

  • Learn the basics of video production
  • Let your creative juices flow
  • Meet teens from all around Tucson
  • Try out your acting skills
  • Voice your opinion about current environmental issues

Learn how to communicate effectively with video:
Shipherd Reed, a documentary film director and producer, will share some tricks of the trade

Learn from local experts on topics such as water, energy, climate change, wildlife and invasive species

A $50 cash prize will be awarded to each member of the film crew that produces the best Eco-Ad!

The YES is for youth currently in grades 6-12 and will be held on Saturday, January 17th 2009 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

We can assist in finding transportation

There is no fee for this event and lunch will be free to all who register!
