WILD WINTER KID'S CAMP
Kid's camp participants in grades K-5 can experience one, two or even up to six days of fun at the Desert Museum this winter. Each day will have a special theme such as food webs, reptiles, animal signs, birds, creepy crawlies and more. Live animals, music, crafts, science experiments, hiking, storytelling, exploring the museum grounds, and behind-the scenes adventures will be a part of each day.

- 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Monday, December 22, 2008:
- Meet and learn about the animals in our desert that we call our "Feathered Friends" (Sign up online)
- Tuesday, December 23, 2008:
- Learn about 6, 8, 10+ legged creatures that inhabit our desert and are sometimes called "Creepy Crawlies" (Sign up online)
- Wednesday, December 24, 2008:
- Animal signs are all around us, we just need to look for them. Discover the types of clues animals leave behind in "Who Dung It?" (Sign up online)
- Monday, December 29, 2008:
- Learn about animal diets, who eats what, and if you can tell what an animal eats just by looking at it. You'll also help to feed or make dinner for a desert museum critter, in "I'm Hungry" (Sign up online)
- Tuesday, December 30, 2008:
- "Reptilemania!" Find out cool facts about our scaly neighbors here in the Sonoran Desert. (Sign up online)
- Wednesday, December 31, 2008:
- What kinds of animals are out and about when you are sleeping? New Year's Eve day will be a good time to learn about the "Creatures of the Night!" (Sign up online)
