Nesting Sites:
Large nests made of sticks are on cliffs, the ground, or trees. Pairs sometimes build multiple nest sites but only use one.
Common Prey:
Prairie dogs, rabbits, ground squirrels, and other rodents.
Predators:
Larger raptors like Golden Eagles, coyotes or foxes.
Comments:
Ferruginous Hawk is largest hawk in North America. Light and dark morphs exist with dark morphs less common.
